    EASSy Cable system is a 10,000km submarine cable system constructed along East Coast of Africa owned and operated by a group of Africans (92%) and International (8%) Telecom operators. with landing points in nine countries and is connected to at least ten landlocked countries which will no longer have to rely on satellite Internet access to carry voice and data services

    • It interconnects more than 500 African locations in 30 countries and currently extends to 100 cities in 29 countries in Europe and more than 700 cities in 70 countries globally. It extends from Mtunzini in South Africa to Port Sudan in Sudan.
    • It interconnects with Multiple International submarine Cables for diverse, seamless onward connectivity to Europe, USA, Middle East and Asia.
    • It has 2 fibre pairs (68 wavelength per fibre) interconnecting with 21 African countries and a range of International destinations and has 9 landing stations.


    Is a submarine communications cable system that connects U.K., Portugal, Gibraltar, Monaco, France, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Oman, United Arab Emirates, and India. EIG is the first direct high-bandwidth optical fibre system from Britain to India.

    Zantel Park Is One The 9 Landing Points Of EASSy Cable System. The Landing Station Is Located At Zantel Park, Plot No. 1, 2, 3, Mwai Kibaki Road, Msasani, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania And Managed By ZANTEL That Connects EASSy & SEAS Submarine Cables. This Is One Of The Most Strategic Gateways In Eastern Africa, Which Serves Majority Of Land Locked Neighboring Countries With Tanzania Such As Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi & Zambia.

    Apart From Managing The EASSy Cable System, Zantel Also Manages The Seychelles East Africa Submarine Cable System (SEAS), Landing At Zantel Park And Interconnects It With EASSy Cable For Onward Connectivity And IP Transit.
